<p>Environmental degradation and energy security are two of policymakers' most crucial concerns, with an increasing emphasis on renewable development. Studies regarding the role influence environmental technology patents in this context become necessary can provide empirical evidence needed for public policy decisions terms benefits they bring compared to other innovation measures. Thus, our aim was capture effects consumption OECD Member States over period 2000–2021. Abstract The recognition of climate change as real and unprecedented has been acknowledged by global communities. Furthermore, fossil fuel energy consumption territorial emissions are identified major drivers change. Data collected from the World Bank for BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) group countries period 1990 to 2018, analyzed using Panel FGLS GEE models, revealed an inverted U-shaped relationship between GDP per capita its square with in countries.
