ABSTRACT The green park serves as a significant spatial carrier for China's strategy to become manufacturing powerhouse and promote industrial transformation upgrading. (2) facilitates integration pollution reduction carbon efforts leveraging technology innovation government support. (3) effect has regional consistency resource heterogeneity. Land use and land cover change (LUCC) significantly influences the dynamics of carbon storage in thin terrestrial ecosystems. Investigating interplay between alterations sequestration is crucial for refining regional configurations, sustaining balance, augmenting storage. Using data from Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomeration (PRDUA) 2010 to 2020, this study employed PLUS-InVEST models analyze spatiotemporal Projections years 2030, 2040, 2050 were performed under three distinct developmental scenarios, namely, natural development (ND), city priority (CPD), ecological protection (EPD), forecast changes The geographic detector model was leveraged dissect determinants spatial temporal variability storage, offering pertinent recommendations. results showed that (1) during 2010–2020, PRDUA a decreasing trend, with total decrease 9.52 × 106 Mg, distribution density urban agglomeration imbalanced an overall trend increasing center periphery. (2) Clear differences observed among scenarios 2030 2050. Only EPD scenario achieved increase 1.10 it greatest potential sequestration. (3) Among drivers evolution patterns, population, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), distance railway had influence on LUCC. (4) annual average temperature, rainfall, GDP exerted significant PRDUA, interactions 15 predominantly manifested as nonlinear double-factor enhancements. provide theoretical basis future planning achieving neutrality PRDUA.

The “technological dividends” brought by AI development provide a new model for the country to achieve green governance, enhance enterprises’ ability manage pollutant emissions during production and operations, create driving force improving environmental quality. In this regard, paper systematically examines impact of on quality in China employing provincial panel data spanning from 2000 2020. Focusing energy conservation, carbon reduction, mitigation, analysis is conducted through application two-way fixed-effects mediation effects explore both mechanisms AI’s influence findings indicate that implementation contribute positively China’s efforts ultimately leading an enhancement This conclusion remains valid after multiple robustness checks. The impact of carbon emissions trading on green total factor productivity based on evidence from a quasi-natural experiment DOI Creative Commons

Based on a balanced panel dataset of 272 prefecture-level cities from 2000 to 2022, this paper systematically investigates the impact carbon emissions trading system green total factor productivity and its underlying mechanisms an integrated perspective overall, dynamic, spatial dimensions. The findings reveal that (1) significantly enhances regional productivity, primarily by optimizing resource allocation efficiency strengthening competitiveness. (2) From dynamic perspective, policy effect exhibited U-shaped relationship: 2013 2018, was suppressed due underdeveloped market environment; after with maturation stabilization, effects improved significantly. (3) Spatial analysis indicates positively influences pilot regions but generates siphon nonpilot regions, leading performance divergence, although overall remains positive. (4) Heterogeneity reveals has more pronounced in higher intensity, stricter environmental regulations, better infrastructure, richer endowments, reflecting significant disparities effectiveness. This study provides empirical evidence theoretical insights optimize policies achieve development.
