This study aims to explore the impact of green technology innovation on financial performance SMEs in Depok City, Indonesia. It is of great practical significance to utilize the agricultural carbon emission reduction effect policy re-designation counties as cities or city districts (RCCD) achieve high-quality development. This paper uses panel data 39 in Yangtze River Delta region China from 2010 2022, and adopts a staggered difference-in-difference model threshold identify causal impact RCCD on emissions (ACE). We show that: (1) Overall, exerts tangible dampening ACE, with experimental group exhibiting significant 0.069 compared control post-implementation policy. (2) A dual-threshold environmental regulation emerges context RCCD, wherein ACE varies depending level regulation. Urban forest policies have garnered increasing global attention for their critical role in providing key ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration, air pollution control, microclimate regulation, and biodiversity enhancement, well potential to drive green innovation sustainable urban development. This study utilized panel data from 273 Chinese cities between 2000 2022, employing a quasi-natural experiment difference-in-differences (DID) model systematically evaluate the impact of National Forest City Policy (NFCP) on innovation. The results indicate that NFCP significantly enhances innovation, with these findings remaining robust across series validation tests. Mechanism analysis revealed policy fosters by environmental attention, facilitating talent aggregation, reducing emissions. Furthermore, heterogeneity showed policy’s effects are more pronounced small- medium-sized cities, non-transportation hub economically developed regions. Based findings, this paper offers recommendations optimizing implementation different city types further promote economic broadens research perspective relationship precise decision-making guidance policymakers while also highlighting important forests play enhancing driving growth.

Amidst the rapid evolution of digital technologies and strategic imperative achieving dual-carbon objectives, this paper empirically investigates how digital–green fusion (DGF) enhances corporate sustainable development performance (SDP), fostering a “harmonious symbiosis” between economic growth environmental protection. Utilizing data from China’s A-share listed companies over period 2010–2022, analysis reveals that DGF significantly boosts SDP, with results remaining robust through series endogeneity robustness tests. Mechanism further demonstrates digital-green integration not only drives green technology innovation information transparency but also optimizes labor resource allocation efficiency, collectively contributing to improved sustainability performance. Additionally, heterogeneity indicates positive impact on SDP is particularly pronounced in large enterprises, state-owned firms operating industries low uncertainty.
