Investing in renewable energy is a key driver for achieving the objectives outlined 2015 Paris Agreement. In this context, Brazil has stood out, and study investigates socioeconomic impacts of different types projects across Brazilian municipalities. The analysis focuses on installed after 2010, from which investments non-conventional sources have grown substantially country. applied methodology combines Propensity Score Matching Difference-in-Differences techniques to analyze average source-specific effects hydro, wind, photovoltaic solar GDP per capita formal employment. results indicate an positive effect 16.8% income, with wind power having greatest impact, 6.7% employment, where hydropower stands out. Therefore, work provides valuable insights policymakers companies, who can use findings make decisions direct based various dimensions Triple Bottom Line.

With the severity of global climate change becoming increasingly evident, shift to renewable energy has become key achieving sustainable development. Using data from prefecture level in China, we construct a comprehensive FinTech index institutional and individual levels using entropy method, aiming capture multi-dimensional value comprehensively. This paper quantifies momentum that provides urban transition. Our investigation shows can play crucial role enhancing transition, especially cities with strict environmental policies, relatively developed economies, eastern midland cities. study further reveals impact path FinTech-driven transformation, find is curb capital misallocation, strengthen public attention, improve green innovation. These results expand research perspective transition provide choice for China realize under dual-carbon goal.

ABSTRACT This study is driven by the pressing need to assess how international Paris Agreement of 2015, as a policy shock, impacts climate actions in G‐20 countries, which account for most world's emissions. Achieving SDG‐13 (Climate Actions) requires understanding function G‐7 policy. In this context, using quasi‐natural experiment design with Multi‐year Difference‐in‐Differences (DID), fixed‐effect DID, and propensity score matching (PSM‐DID), examines policies affected (SDG‐13) countries from 2002 2021. The findings demonstrate that 2015 substantially benefits action, treatment effects ranging 0.278 0.367, at significance level 1%. show covariant environmental taxes help advance efforts, whereas coal rents use fossil fuels impede them. International cooperation (SDG‐17) further improves outcomes. Climate change adopted have significant long‐term influence on other member nations. But their efficacy has slightly changed over time. focuses providing necessary tools global transition towards climate‐resilient low‐carbon net‐zero future pathways.

Abstract This study uses the novel Fourier-augmented ARDL (FARDL) to explore impact of renewable energy (REN), number patent applications (PA) and GDP per capita on CO 2 emissions in Finland during 1990–2022. The findings reveal that long run, rises emissions, while REN PA decrease emissions. FARDL short-run results indicate both have a significant negative suggesting higher adoption technological innovation contribute emission reductions. However, does not show effect short which may decoupling economic growth from environmental degradation term. Furthermore, highlights need for policies promote increased investment achieve sustainable carbon reduction

Abstract The Circular Economy (CE) has attracted considerable global attention as a key strategy for sustainability, waste reduction and resource efficiency. This review systematically analyses more than 160 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 2025 to assess CE innovations, implementation challenges policy effectiveness across sectors. results reveal that technological advances (e.g. AI, blockchain, IoT) are accelerating the adoption of CE, but regulatory fragmentation financial barriers hinder large-scale implementation. Despite existence effective policies in developed countries, disparities frameworks give rise inconsistencies adoption. Future research should concentrate on standardised metrics, AI-driven optimisation, harmonised regulations increase effectiveness.
