Introduction Green and low-carbon development is a fundamental pathway to modernization critical driver of common prosperity. Using panel data from 279 prefecture-level cities in China 2010 2022, this study empirically examines the impact city pilot policies on prosperity their underlying mechanisms. Methods Common measured using principal component analysis, staggered difference-in-differences model applied for empirical analysis.
