Unprecedented seasonal forest fires pose a significant threat to the carbon stocks of diverse ecosystems, particularly in regions like Uttarakhand, west Himalaya. Understanding impact varying fire frequencies on different types is crucial for effective conservation and management strategies. This study aims assess loss stock three distinct types—Sal, Pine, Mixed across an elevation gradient facing unprecedented fires. By investigating pre- post-fire conditions, analyzing biomass dynamics, mapping frequencies, research provide insights into complex interplay regimes resilience. The investigation covers vegetation analysis, assessment, frequency mapping. Biomass calculations were carried out using non-destructive sampling method. Fire maps generated Landsat satellite imagery spanning decade, integrating MODIS hotspot data classification. reveals patterns changes Sal, forests response frequencies. Sal exhibit resilience low-intensity fires, while Pine show higher sensitivity. Carbon contributions dominant species varied significantly, with Chir-Pine emerging as contributors. High lead substantial reduction all types. findings emphasize sensitivity aboveground frequency, observed classes. underscores importance nuanced strategies tailored characteristics. provides valuable policymakers, managers, conservationists formulating targeted approaches.

Himalayan Cedar ( Cedrus deodara ), a member of the family Pinaceae is well-known for its ecological, economic, and cultural significance. It native to Western region listed as Least Concern in IUCN list threatened species. In present study, bibliometric analysis more than hundred years research on C. carried out. Total 616 documents published from 1916 2024 were retrieved Scopus database analyzed using biblioshiny VoS viewer. A comprehensive overview publication trends, country-wise publications, bibliographic coupling, citation analysis, keyword collaborative networks are presented. The findings revealed that publications have increased significantly recent decades primarily multidisciplinary. Forest ecology, pharmacology, phytochemistry, climate change, environmental science, taxonomy among major thrust areas.
