Phosphorus (P) is an essential and limiting nutrient in soil tightly linked to fertility productivity. Microorganisms have developed different mechanisms respond P scarcity increase its availability soil, which are susceptible change under contrasting land uses. Here, we calculated compared metagenomic redundancy, as a measurement of ecosystem potential capacity, 23 key functional genes related organic mineralization, inorganic solubilization P-starvation response regulation forest, grassland cropland soils through mining public sequence repository. The redundancy those all currently published genomes (genome redundancy) from archaea, bacteria fungi was also studied. Microbes croplands grasslands showed higher (i.e., mineralize the action alkaline phosphatases (phoA, phoD phoX genes) solubilize (gcd pqqC) by producing gluconic acid than forests. Instead, capacity microbes phosphonates C–P lyases (phnG, phnH, …, phnM) found be impact use on encoding phytases (appA 3-phytase) dependent type phytase. Intermetagenome (potentiality per metagenome unit) reached maximum values for phosphatase production, starvation, denoting crucial role that these functions cycling. Proteobacteria, within Bacteria, Euryarchaeota, Archaea, greatest genomic scarcity. However, seems more restricted. present study provides overview how microbial regulate potentially with taxonomy microbes.

Microorganisms play an important role in plant growth and development. In particular, endophytic fungi is one of the kinds microorganisms has a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship with host plants. Endophytic have many substantial benefits to plants, especially for woody such as accelerating growth, enhancing stress resistance, promoting nutrient absorption, resisting pathogens etc. However, effects on development plants not been systematically summarized. this review, functions mainly reviewed, including regulating (e.g., flowering, root elongation, etc.) by producing nutrients hormones, improving disease, insect resistance heavy metal secondary metabolites. addition, diversity could improve ability adapt adverse environment. The components produced excellent potential This review discussed regulation mechanism it would be great significance utilization resource from protection forest resources.

Brassicaceae family includes an important group of plants great scientific interest, e.g., the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana , and economic such as crops genus Brassica ( oleracea, napus rapa etc.). This is characterized by synthesis accumulation in their tissues secondary metabolites called glucosinolates (GSLs), sulfur-containing compounds mainly involved defense against pathogens pests. are among 30% species that cannot establish optimal associations with mycorrhizal hosts (together other families Proteaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Caryophyllaceae), GSLs could be this evolutionary process non-interaction. However, can beneficial interactions endophytic fungi, which requires a reduction defensive responses host and/or evasion, tolerance, or suppression defenses fungus. Although much remains to known about mechanisms Brassicaceae-endophyte fungal interaction, several cases have been described, fungi need interfere GSL hydrolysis plant, even directly degrade before they hydrolyzed antifungal isothiocyanates. Once fungus symbiosis formed, obtain benefits from agricultural point view, growth promotion increase yield quality, increased tolerance abiotic stresses, direct indirect control pests diseases. review compiles studies on interaction between plants, discussing success symbiosis, together obtained these plants. Due unique characteristics, seen fruitful source novel endophytes applications crops, well generate new models study allow us better understand amazing

Establishing mutualistic relationships between plants and fungi is crucial for overcoming nutrient deficiencies in plants. This review highlights the intricate sensing uptake mechanisms used by response to phosphate nitrogen starvation, as well their interactions with plant immunity. The coordination of transport systems both host fungal partners ensures efficient assimilation, contributing long-term maintenance these associations. It also essential understand distinct responses external levels forms, they significantly impact outcomes symbiotic interactions. Our importance evolutionarily younger newly discovered root–fungus associations, such endophytic which offer potential benefits improving nutrition. Mechanistic insights into complex dynamics phosphorus within diverse associations can facilitate identification molecular targets engineering developing phenotypes enhanced use efficiency. Ultimately, this knowledge inform tailored fertilizer management practices optimize

SUMMARY Pathogens must acquire essential nutrients to successfully colonize and proliferate in host tissue. Additionally, provide signals that condition pathogen deployment of factors promote disease. A series transcriptomics experiments over the last 20 years, primarily with Cryptococcus neoformans a lesser extent gattii , insights into nutritional requirements for proliferation tissues. Notably, identified functions include number transporters key including sugars, amino acids, metals, phosphate. Here, we first summarize vivo gene expression studies then discuss follow-up analyses specifically test relevance ability pathogens cause The conclusion is predictions based on transcriptional profiling cryptococcal cells infected tissue are well supported by subsequent investigations using targeted mutations. Overall, combination transcriptomic genetic approaches provides substantial underpin host.
