Abstract Electron spinning polarization has garnered increased attention for its potential to enhance device properties. However, application in life health, specifically anti‐infection and tissue repair, remains under‐explored. In this study, a ferromagnetic heterojunction CF (Fe 3 O 4 /TiO 2 ) is constructed with spin‐polarized electrons, demonstrating efficient antibiosis performance ultrasound (US) assistance. The antibacterial mechanism elucidated as follows: metallic states of Fe induce an asymmetric distribution the electron spin state TiO , increasing density electrons near Fermi level CF. Under US treatment, built‐in electric field synergistically suppress recombination sono‐activated carriers, promoting reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Simultaneously, bacterial membrane influenced by micromagnetic induced causing severe disturbance respiratory chain. combined damage from ROS disturbed chain results death. Fortunately, built activates specific mechanosensitive ion channels, including TREK1, Piezo1, related pathways, enhancing osteoblast differentiation. Sonotherapy using exhibits excellent therapeutic effect treating osteomyelitis. This study provides novel insights into manipulating applications health.

Horizontal gene transfer plays an important role in the spread of antibiotic resistance, which plasmid-mediated conjugation is most mechanism. While sub-minimal inhibitory concentrations (sub-MIC) antibiotics could promote frequency, mechanism by sub-MIC levels affect frequency not clear. Here, we used Klebsiella pneumoniae SW1780 carrying multi-drug resistance plasmid pSW1780-KPC as donor strain, to investigate effects sub-MICs meropenem (MEM), ciprofloxacin (CIP), cefotaxime (CTX), and amikacin (AK) on conjugational from Escherichia coli J53. Our results showed that frequencies increased significantly treating strain with MEM, CIP, CTX AK. Transfer at conditions a Galleria mellonella were higher than vitro. To expression metabolic effects, RT-qPCR LC-MS-based metabolome sequencing performed. Transcript T4SS genes virB1, virB2, virB4, virB8, conjugation-related traB, traK, traE, traL upregulated exposure CTX, Metabolome revealed nine differentially regulated metabolites. findings are early warning for wide assessment roles resistance.

The eradication of drug-resistant microbial biofilms remains an unresolved global health challenge. Small-scale robotics are providing innovative therapeutic and diagnostic approaches with high precision efficacy. These rapidly moving from proof-of-concept studies to translational biomedical applications using ex vivo, animal, clinical models. Here, we discuss the fundamental aspects how microrobots target infection sites disrupt structural functional traits their antimicrobial resistance mechanisms. We emphasize current mechanochemical disruption on-site drug delivery that supported by in vivo models preclinical testing, while also highlighting diagnostics potential. translation challenges provide perspectives for development microrobotics combat biofilm infections biofouling humans.

Lake Caviahue (37° 50 ‘S and 71° 06’ W; Patagonia, Argentina) is an extreme case of a glacial, naturally acidic, aquatic environment (pH ~ 3). Knowledge the bacterial communities in water column this lake, incipient, with basal quantification bacterioplankton abundance distribution North South Basins Caviahue, described presence sulfur iron oxidizing bacteria lake sediments. The role that plays nutrient utilization recycling environment, especially phosphorus cycle, has not been studied. In work, we explore aspect further depth by assessing diversity pelagic, littoral sediment bacteria, using state art molecular methods identifying differences commonalties composition cognate communities. Also, investigate interactions between sediments microbial present both sediments, pore column, to comprehend ecological relationships driving structure fluxes, special focus on carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus. Two major environmental patterns were observed: (a) one distinguishing surface samples due temperature, Fe 2+ , electrical conductivity, (b) another winter summer high pH increasing concentrations N-NH 4 + DOC SO 2− from autumn spring soluble reactive (SRP) concentrations. largest was found autumn, alongside higher levels dissolved phosphorus, forms, increased conductivity. highest values biomass bottom strata which also where greatest found. experiments continuous flow microcosms showed growth over time, test control columns, accompanied decrease concentration nutrients (SRP ), providing proof microorganisms are active contribute significantly utilization/mobilization.
