Purpose The rapid growth of halal tourism over the past decade has made it a lucrative market, with destinations competing for Muslim travellers. This study examines factors influencing tourists' intention to visit in Indonesia, using push-pull-mooring (PPM) model understand this phenomenon. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected self-administered questionnaire. A total 328 usable responses used analyse data. proposed conceptual framework was tested covariant-based structural equation modelling (CB-SEM). Findings Results indicate that push, pull and mooring motives positively influence towards destinations. Among these motives, novelty seeking, escapism, halal-friendly destination performance, attributes destination, religiosity subjective norms most critical improved intention. Furthermore, moderating role also established. The tourism industry and social capital are closely linked together, as encompasses the belief value systems, norms, networks, solidarity principles of a society. Spiritual knowledge has been found significant in environmental conservation, yet its role developing tourism is under-researched. Foreign medical personnel are needed to overcome the challenges of a shortage personnel. Keberagaman budaya dan alam yang ada di wilayah Indonesia menjadikannya destinasi wisata dikenal hingga mancanegara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran partisipasi masyarakat lokal dalam pengembangan desa wisata. menggunakan metode systematic literature review dengan melakukan analisis deskriptif kualitatif diperoleh dari 32 artikel diseleksi menjadi enam menekankan pada esensi lokal. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sangat esensial memastikan pembangunan berkelanjutan memberikan dampak positif bagi setempat. juga mengidentifikasi pentingnya pemerintah investor swasta wisata, membuat strategi kebijakan serta menyediakan sumber daya finansial pengalaman bisnis diperlukan, tanpa mengabaikan Temuan penelitian menegaskan harus tetap prioritas utama, sementara dapat mendukung visi memprioritaskan kepentingan Hal – hal tersebut turut membantu mencapai tingkat tertinggi, yaitu citizen power melalui kerja sama kolaborasi antara lokal, swasta.
