The assessment of morphology and immunology specimens at different maturity stages is essential for the determination spawning strategy reducing risk mortality. In this paper, female male Pacific abalones (Haliotis discus hannai) statuses (pre-spawning, post-spawning) were collected to estimate effects on immune response. haemocyte parameters, including total counts (THC), mortality, reactive oxygen species production (ROS) analysed using flow cytometry. THC decreased after spawning, which was lowest 3 days post-spawning. Haemocyte mortality higher during highest Abalone also reduced their metabolic activity reflected by an increase in ROS both females males. Moreover, our results show that abalone reach period with a degree activities haemocytes responses than male. confirmed variability might related individual conditions.

Protoceratium reticulatum, a dinoflagellate species known for producing yessotoxins (YTX), can form harmful algal blooms (HABs) impacting marine life. This study examined how P. reticulatum influenced the physiological rates and affected tissue health of juvenile scallops, Argopecten purpuratus. The scallops were exposed to non-toxic algae Isochrysis galbana (diet A) mixtures where 30 70% replaced by toxic B C, respectively) 15 days, followed 15-day recovery period (I. galbana). Results showed that clearance rate (CR), inorganic ingestion (IIR), organic (OIR), absorption (AR) significantly reduced within first seven days exposure diets, with reductions approximately 25% 50% in diets respectively, compared diet, an increase these parameters during stage. Histological observations revealed greater damage digestive gland than gills, higher frequency severe correlating diet content. Despite no direct impact on survival, compromised A. purpuratus juveniles suggests increased vulnerability other stressors. These findings provide new insights into filter-feeding behavior selective filtration capabilities presence dinoflagellates be compromised, contributing understanding HABs associated toxins affect
