Abstract The mobility provider MOIA operates Europe's largest contiguous electric ride‐pooling service in Hamburg, representing a testbed of how shared and digitized transport can help foster the transformation urban mobility. on‐demand has been operation since 2019 was thus affected by COVID‐19 pandemic 2020. This study shows real‐world insights into travel behavior before during pandemic, contributing to empirical evidence on recent behavior. After application descriptive statistical analyses, several (spatial) regression models are estimated understand relationship between spatial variables demand. trip data from three different time periods used: (a) summer autumn 2019, (b) first lockdown Germany spring 2020, (c) after A significant positive effect demand is observed for number inhabitants, workplaces, gastronomic facilities, at airport all periods. In course main patterns remained stable. However, influences gastronomy diminished contrast, impact hospitals increased pandemic. areas with high car ownership, declined compared pre‐pandemic times.

App-based carpooling is recognized as a solution for sustainable commuting. However, there currently no widespread acceptance and adoption of app-based services among urban commuters. The study aims to predict residents’ intention use commuting trips based on the extended Technology Acceptance Model, focusing perceived risk, social influence, environmental awareness, further explore whether are significant gender differences these influential factors. A questionnaire was created empirically test model total 392 valid surveys were collected in Hefei, China. results confirm that commuter positively affected by usefulness, while it negatively influenced risk. Although effect ease not significant, played role enhancing commuters’ usefulness service. Moreover, exist regarding strength relationship between awareness intention. These findings provide practical insights providers transportation departments aiming promote their foster practices.
