Policymakers are implementing a combination of various travel demand management (TDM) policies to effectively reduce carbon emissions. Widespread acceptance these policy mixes by residents plays pivotal role in ensuring their successful implementation. Drawing upon the value–belief–norm (VBN) theory and policy-specific beliefs (perceived freedom, perceived fairness, effectiveness), this study evaluates impact low-carbon psychology characteristics on acceptability mix formed mandatory measures guiding within TDM. The empirical analysis leverages survey data obtained from 839 participants employs structural equation model. results indicate that willingness, effectiveness significantly influence acceptability. Consequently, fostering willingness among is essential for enhancing overall Moreover, encompass incentives development new energy vehicles (NEVs) generally considered most acceptable due non-restrictive private car usage. Given analysis, policymakers should consider designing balance effectiveness, such as incorporating NEVs, address traffic pollution.

The 2023 SDGs report underscores the prolonged disruption of COVID-19 on community living spaces, infrastructure, education, and income equality, exacerbating social spatial inequality. Against backdrop dual impact significant events emergence digital technologies, a coherent research trajectory is essential for characterizing social–spatial equity understanding its influential factors within urban planning discipline. While prior emphasized dimensions mitigated differentiation to ensure equity, complexity these interconnections necessitates more comprehensive approach. This study adopts holistic perspective, focusing “social–spatial” dynamics, utilizing perception (sentiment maps) (housing prices index) pre- post-pandemic elucidate interconnected interactive nature uneven development at scale. It employs multi-dimensional methodological framework integrating morphology analysis housing conditions, GIS amenities, sentiment semantic public opinion, multiscale geographically weighted regression (MGWR) correlation factors. Using Suzhou, China, as pilot study, this demonstrates how integrated methods complement each other, exploring conditions resource distribution collectively bolster resilience, thereby maintaining amidst pandemic disruptions. findings reveal that exacerbates stratification differentiation. proximity well-maintained ecological environments, such parks or scenic landmarks, generally exhibits consistency positive effects measurement. Simultaneously, various elements influencing show geographic heterogeneity, particularly in areas farther from central regions Xiangcheng Wujiang districts. uncovers bilateral mechanism between differentiation, aiming delve into interdependent relationship built environmental Furthermore, it aspires provide meaningful references recommendations regeneration policy formulation era sustain equity.

Objective The global concern surrounding the aging population has brought well-being of older individuals to forefront societal attention. Unfortunately, studies focusing on people residing in rural areas are frequently overshadowed by developmental disparities between and urban regions. Thus, this study aims delve into non-linear impact walking accessibility subjective adults. goal is gain a comprehensive understanding relationship, ultimately contributing an improved quality life health for adults areas. Methods In study, Random Forest algorithm was employed explore effects demographic variables, perceived safety, built environment (including perceptions preferences environment), Results findings underscore pivotal role influencing adults, particularly terms access bazaars centers, where threshold evident. Furthermore, community road conditions, were identified as positive influencers Well-being trends varied with age, revealing noteworthy relationships certain variables. Conclusion insights gained from provide crucial theoretical guidance development policies tailored unique context aging. By taking account factors such accessibility, support, social interaction, we can create living enhancing their happiness overall life.

As the post-pandemic world adjusts to a new normal, deep decarbonization of transport sector, which is essential for China's carbon neutrality, likely be faced with unprecedented challenges and opportunities. This study conducted scenario simulations understand role sector in achieving neutral target context normal. The simulation results showed that dioxide (CO2) emissions could significantly reduced by lifestyle changes world, while reduction potential would partially offset negative effects stemming from decline public car-sharing services. It was also found arrival normal help reduce mitigation cost required meet target. Because regional disparities CO2 costs, toward neutrality requires region-specific policy packages.

Qualitative explore depth diversity of pandemic implications for hedonic eudaimonic wellbeing. Factor structural equation models confirm statistical evidence three coping strategies – working from home, avoiding spaces infection, (enjoyment of) local environment with respectively neutral, negative positive impacts satisfaction life. The post-pandemic ability to be more mobile attend diverse activities again is by many perceived as positive, but people struggle maintain cherished aspects slower-paced, localised lifestyles adopted during pandemic. Understanding how various factors influence travel satisfaction can assist in traffic policy-making. In the study, we aim to develop innovative urban resident evaluation models by building a comprehensive index system and considering asymmetric flow difference time urgency during morning evening peak hours. We consider both internal reflecting resident-related characteristics including socio-economic attributes characteristics, external road-related facilities, road conditions, environments, service levels. Then, for hours, respectively build structural equation model (SEM) capture intrinsic interactions between latent factors, an ordered logit describe direct influencing of its nature. Finally, examine our proposed with survey data collected Yizhuang district Beijing, China. The numerical results show that have significant impacts on satisfaction. SEM captures variables such as positive relationship facilities environments. modeling most except obstacles influences Our research findings provide better understanding offer government valuable guidance improve
