Abstract This paper studies the problem of heterogeneous electric vehicles, fast chargers, and synchronized jobs that have time windows in home healthcare routing scheduling. We consider a aims to establish daily routes schedules for nurses provide variety services patients located scattered area. This article systematically reviews the literature on adaptive large neighborhood search (ALNS) to gain insights into operators used for vehicle routing problems (VRPs) and their effectiveness. The ALNS has been successfully applied a variety of optimization problems, particularly variants VRP. gradually improves an initial solution by modifying it using removal insertion operators. However, relying solely operator selection is not advisable. The enforcement of stringent regulations capping carbon emissions has prompted city logistics enterprises to substitute electric vehicles (EVs) for conventional (CVs). For with a mixed fleet CVs and EVs, this study investigates the delivery routing problem road restrictions (DRPRR) accessible time windows bearing weight. We formulate DRPRR as integer programming model minimise total operations cost. consists set-up cost diesel CVs, electricity tax cost, penalty waiting roads be accessible. To effectively solve model, an adaptive large neighbourhood search (ALNS) algorithm is developed that tailored destroy repair operators two alternative solution acceptance criteria. Numerical experiments are conducted validate effectiveness proposed ALNS algorithm. In small-scale instances, Metropolis criterion finds best solutions 41 48 instances while maintaining deviation less than 2.5% from CPLEX in remaining 7 its running significantly shorter CPLEX. large-scale stronger solving ability better stability benchmark algorithms (i.e. GA-LS, LNS, threshold criterion). also address real-world case conduct sensitivity analysis provide useful managerial insights.
