Introduction This study aimed to evaluate and compare the quality reliability of information provided by two widely used digital platforms, ChatGPT-4 Google, on frequently asked questions about colon cancer. With growing popularity these individuals increasingly turn them for accessible health information, yet remain regarding accuracy such content. Given that cancer is a prevalent serious condition, trustworthy essential support patient education, facilitate informed decision-making, potentially improve outcomes. Therefore, objective was determine which platform offers more reliable accurate medical cancer, using established evaluation criteria assess information. Methods Twenty were selected based search relevance patients then searched Google. Responses evaluated tools as DISCERN (reliability), Global Quality Score (GQS), Journal American Medical Association (JAMA) (accuracy), SAM (suitability), Flesch-Kincaid Readability Test, HITS (user experience), VPI (visibility). Statistical analyses determined significant differences between platforms (p < 0.05). scored significantly higher than Google DISCERN, GQS, JAMA, indicating greater reliability, accuracy, comprehensibility 0.001). Both showed similar readability scores, but rated suitability (SAM, p 0.01) user-friendliness (HITS, 0.01). Although exhibited visibility (VPI), limited HONcode certification raised concerns its results. Results JAMA criteria, demonstrating superior While both had comparable scores suitable education according Furthermore, found be user-friendly offered structured scale VPI, presence HONcode-certified results Conclusion proved higher-quality source compared particularly queries AI-based hold promise enhancing providing although further research needed confirm findings across different topics larger populations.
