Creative Thinking in Art and Design Education: A Systematic Review

This
study
aims
to
identify
and
analyze
relevant
characteristics
associated
with
creative
thinking,
particularly
in
arts
design
education.
A
systematic
literature
review
was
conducted
following
the
PRISMA
protocol,
utilizing
Scopus
database,
where
292
studies
were
retrieved
through
search
strings.
From
these,
187
selected
for
final
analysis.
The
results
highlight
an
emphasis
on
experiential
learning,
STEAM
(Science,
Technology,
Engineering,
Arts,
Mathematics),
interdisciplinary
approaches
as
prevalent
educational
methodologies
fostering
thinking.

techniques
include
projects,
artistic
practices,
nature-based
activities,
use
of
digital
tools.

fluency,
flexibility,
elaboration.
Furthermore,

that

This
study
aims
to

systematic
review
of
the
implementation
science,
technology,
engineering,
art,
and
mathematics
(STEAM)
education
in
schools.
Based
on
this
