ABSTRACT To explore the effects of low‐temperature torrefaction on physicochemical properties and energy–mass co‐benefit corn straws, products obtained after at different low temperatures were studied. Through proximate analysis, ultimate scanning electron microscopy, higher calorific value, straws The results showed as follows: After pretreatment, with decrease volatile matter, H/C ratio decreased by 21.59%, O/C 19.05%, value increased 14.78% from 19.42 to 22.29 MJ·kg −1 . Therefore, pretreatment can promote volatilization light components in significantly increase fixed carbon content, then improve mass density energy quality into high‐grade fuels. improvement is convenient for storage transportation, improving combustion.
