ABSTRACT Aging urban water supply pipelines are facing significant leakage issues. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is an effective non-destructive method for localization, but its image analysis mainly relies on interpreter experience, leading to uncertainty and inefficiency. To address this issue, unsupervised learning based GPR data attributes proposed automatic detection. First, velocity energy extracted from B-Scan profiles differentiate wet areas caused by normal areas. Then, the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) applied automatically classify these two types The was evaluated experimental platform constant pressure pre-drilled points. Experiments show that decrease 25.2 26.6% after leakage. Using yields better results, suggestions DBSCAN hyperparameters provided. Feature importance indicates two-way-travel-time a score 46.1 attribution index 32.7 significantly influence identification. This can also estimate affected error not exceeding spacing three measurement lines, available across various underground conditions without needing well-labeled training data.

Purpose This study aims to provide a reference basis for waterproofing the long-term safe operation of shield tunnels. Shielding subways in tunnel tube seams leads opening, dislocation and other issues, which turn cause sealing gasket break ultimately water seepage, existing symmetrical arrangement cannot meet requirements structure. Design/methodology/approach First, we carry out an indoor “one-seam” hydrostatic test quantitatively determine performance symmetric four asymmetric arrangements gaskets. And with best stability is selected. Second, establish three-dimensional numerical seepage model waterproof failure gaskets different arrangements, mechanistically explains whole course gradual wedging water. Finally, compare analyze experimental results verify reliability analysis methods.
