Fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) and fiber-reinforced cementitious composites (FRCCs) have been widely applied in infrastructure projects. In this Editorial, the research status of FRPs is first reviewed terms fibers, resin matrix, application technology, progress FRCCs then mechanical property durability, as well technology. Based on frontiers challenges FRCCs, prospects for future studies are discussed.

The eccentrically braced frame (EBF) is a typical structural system used in high-rise buildings. Current related design methods focus on the concrete and steel structures rather than complex composite structure. In addition, they tend to overlook contribution of energy-dissipation unit its corresponding additional influence this study, precast EBF structure selected as case including partially steel-reinforced (PSRC) beam concrete-filled tubular (CFST) column. A modified energy-based method proposed leverage excellent seismic performance multi-stage mechanism eccentric braces are systematically considered through energy distribution coefficient layout dampers. study 12-floor, three-bay conducted using series nonlinear time-history analyses. Critical responses, maximum inter-story drift ratio, residual peak acceleration, analyzed evaluate effectiveness theory. recommended range from 0.70 0.80 balance between braces. terms damper layout, brace should differ among lower, middle, upper floors.
