Groundwater
is
a
critical
resource
for
economic

livelihoods
in
the
dense
agricultural
plains
of
plateaus.

various

threats

groundwater

plain

Plateau.

derives
rainfall
occurred
surrounding
mountains.

underground
flow

water-rock

it

ABSTRACT
Groundwater
is
a
crucial
water
resource
for
various
usages
worldwide.
The
Quetta
Valley
of
Pakistan
was
investigated
regarding
its
groundwater
quality
sustainability
based
on
integrated
approaches
hydrochemistry,
geographic
information
system,
and
multivariate
statistics.
A
total
29
samples
were
collected
from
monitoring
wells
to
get
insights
into
the
hydrochemical
suitability
sustainable
irrigation
drinking
utilization.
results
indicate
mainly
featured
by
facies
HCO3·Cl-Ca.
composition
dominantly
governed
dissolution
carbonates
silicate
minerals
in
combination
with
positive
cation
exchange
valley.
Principal
component
analysis
reveals
significant
influence
geogenic
factors
chemistry,
further
supported
PHREEQC
simulation
that
detects
supersaturation
calcite,
dolomite,
sulphate
aquifer.
index
divides
study
area

zones,
which
signify
low
restriction
no
restriction,
except
severe
southwestern
part
generally
suitable
across
entropy-weighted
classifies
as
excellent
good
drinking.

provide
authorities
