Air pollution has long been a significant environmental health issue. Previous studies have employed diverse methodologies to investigate the impacts of air on public health, yet few thoroughly examined its spatiotemporal heterogeneity. Based this, this study investigated heterogeneity in 31 provinces China from 2013 2020 based theoretical framework multifactorial decision-making and combined with spatial durbin model geographically temporally weighted regression model. The findings indicate that: (1) as measured by incidence respiratory diseases (IRD) exhibit positive correlation local aggregation. (2) demonstrates noteworthy spillover effects. After controlling for economic development living environment factors, including disposable income, population density, urbanization rate, direct indirect IRD are at 3.552 2.848, correspondingly. (3) China's is primarily influenced various factors such pollution, development, conditions, healthcare, degree influence an uneven distribution trend. hold considerable practical significance mitigating safeguarding health.

As global economies rapidly develop, the interplay between environmental efficiency, economic development, and public health outcomes has gained significant attention. Air pollution resource-intensive activities threaten both sustainability human health, including reproductive overall well-being. This study focuses on OECD member countries, using data from 1999 to 2021. An undesirable outputs-oriented DEA approach is employed assess efficiency across these countries. Baseline regression analysis conducted examine relationship fertility, while heterogeneity explores impact of industrial energy consumption structures. Additionally, moderating effect development levels investigated. The baseline results indicate an inverted U-shaped where fertility initially declines as increases, then rises after reaching a certain threshold. Heterogeneity reveals that structures significantly influence this different regions. Furthermore, found be reverse moderator: in countries with higher levels, follows curve. These findings highlight necessity integrating policies strategies. Improvements may reduce pollution-related risks, indirectly supporting recovery advanced economies. By addressing interaction provides evidence-based insights for designing promote sustainable equitable social outcomes.

While urban greenery is known to regulate microclimates and reduce air pollution, its integrated effects remain insufficiently quantified. Through field monitoring ENVI-met 5.1 modeling of high-rise residential areas in Jinan, the results demonstrate that: (1) vegetation exhibits distinct spatial impacts air-quality impacts, reducing roadside PM2.5 by 26.63 μg/m3 while increasing building-adjacent levels 17.5 μg/m3; (2) shrubs outperformed trees reduction (up 65.34%), particularly when planted inner rows, whereas tree crown morphology spacing showed negligible effects; (3) densely spaced columnar optimize cooling, Ta 3–4.8 °C physiological equivalent temperature (PET*) 8–12.8 °C, planting on outer row best balanced thermal improvements; (4) each 1 m2/m3 leaf area density (LAD) increase yields benefits (ΔTa = −1.07 ΔPET* −1.93 °C) but elevates 4.32 μg/m3. These findings provide evidence-based design strategies for sustainable planning.

There is no clear explanation for the extraordinary rebound in China’s population mortality over past decade. This paper utilizes panel data from 31 Chinese provinces 2010 to 2020 determine distinct impacts of public sports services (PSS), health (PMS), and their interaction on mortality. Empirical results show that significantly reduce Every unit increase reduces by about 2.3%. It characterized delayed realization. Public were surprisingly associated with a Further studies found strong effect services. The was strengthened areas fewer extreme temperatures or developed economy. findings have important policy implications high-quality development also emphasizes integration medicine mitigates risks temperatures.

Environmental health is one of the public domains determined by physical, chemical, biological, social, and psychosocial factors. The current improvement success in terms technology, society, provision multiple services after Industrial Revolution were accompanied a massive toll air pollutants that introduced emitted into air, causing global issues. It crucial to understand how harmful affect ecological economic consequences such effects. This study examined relationship between Health assessed CO Carbon Monoxide per capita (CO), Public Expenditures (PHE), Toxic Air Pollution (PM₂.₅ NO₂), Life Expectancy (LE), using novel statistical model Bootstrap Autoregressive Distributed Lag (BARDL), for period data from 1990 2022 Saudi Arabia. Results showed no cointegrating negative one-way causal CO, NO₂, PM₂.₅, LE.Moreover, positive two-way was found PHE LE.Saudi Arabia initiated several strategies aim reduce environmental pollution improve overall quality step will promote healthy living have vast impact long run.

This paper investigates the impact of air quality and climate variability during first wave COVID-19 associated with accelerated transmission lethality in Wuhan China four European metropolises (Milan, Madrid, London, Bucharest). For period 1 January–15 June 2020, including pre-lockdown, lockdown, beyond periods, this study used a synergy situ derived satellite time-series data analyses, investigating daily average inhalable gaseous pollutants ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), particulate matter two size fractions (PM2.5 PM10) together Air Quality Index (AQI), total Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) at 550 nm, variables (air temperature 2 m height, relative humidity, wind speed, Planetary Boundary Layer height). Applied statistical methods cross-correlation tests involving multiple datasets main (inhalable PM2.5 PM10 NO2), AQI, aerosol loading AOD revealed direct positive correlation spread severity COVID-19. Like other cities worldwide, first-wave due to implemented restrictions on human-related emissions, there was significant decrease most pollutant concentrations (PM2.5, PM10, but high increase ground-level O3 all selected metropolises. Also, found negative correlations new cases (DNCs) surface level, PBL heights, speed intensity humidity. The findings highlight differential impacts pandemic lockdowns investigated
