To investigate the impact of landscape characteristics on microclimate and thermal comfort in summer urban parks Xinjiang, we focused Mingzhu Park Shihezi City. We collected microclimatic data through field measurements analyzed correlations among these factors, physiological equivalent temperature (PET), features. ENVI-met was utilized for simulations to assess optimization effects. The results revealed that different features significantly influenced comfort. Trees grass effectively lowered temperature, increased humidity, reduced wind speeds, blocked solar radiation, decreased PET. Water bodies exposed sunlight without shade have a low reflectivity, leading significant increases. While evaporation can lower surrounding temperatures, water surface remains higher than shaded areas, raising temperatures there. speed, mean radiant show correlations. correlation ranking is as follows: (Tmrt) > air (Ta) relative humidity (RH) speed (Va). After increasing tree cover designing dispersed bodies, average PET by up 0.67 °C, with park experiencing largest reduction 1.86 °C. eastern built-up area 0.35 western area, only 0.13
