In recent years, passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) has been widely applied in the field of soundscape ecology. Meanwhile, indices, as an important tool for rapid biodiversity assessment (RBA), have also attracted increasing attention. However, considerable evidence demonstrates that existing indices are susceptible to noise, which poses a challenge wider applications indices. this work, we firstly provide insights into how noise affects used diversity index (ADI), revealing global threshold scheme (i.e., −50 dBFS all time–frequency bins) generate binary spectrogram (spectrogram containing bins denoted '1′ with power above and '0′ below) is key factor makes ADI sensitive noise. To address problem, propose revised version named frequency-dependent (FADI), employs new reduce impacts on its values. Soundscape is an essential component of urban forest landscapes, acoustic indices can be effectively used to monitor biodiversity, but whether they for soundscape perception assessments needs further explored. In this study, recordings were collected in Beijing Eastern Suburban Forest Park, and explore the relationship between environment perception, as well possible effects temporal changes. To achieve this, audio spring summer divided, a total 90 segments extracted from three time periods—morning, afternoon, evening—to calculate index complete questionnaire survey. The was evaluated according eight perceptual attribute quality indicators ISO 12913, generalized linear models constructed quantify relationships perception. results showed that variation influenced subjective evaluation, with highest overall evaluation relating morning soundscape. combination explained pleasantness (R2 = 0.58) better than eventfulness 0.54), demonstrating utility these assessment. Urban forest parks improve the environment by reducing noise, which can promote development of physical and mental health. This study aimed to investigate soundscape preferences visitors in different spaces. It also provides practical suggestions for urban green-space soundscapes. took example Moon Island Forest Park Lu’an City, based on questionnaire field survey that acquired public perception data. Existing studies have focused mainly on the environmental quality of scenic spots, such as sufficient oxygen content in air and a high concentration negative ions. Urban natural parks represent a remarkable concept that evokes the coexistence of human habitation with wild environment, and associated interactions between territories. In this context, urban noise infringes upon soundscape, leading to various consequences for both realms. This study seeks characterize impact anthropic levels on biodiversity in Văcărești Park (Bucharest, Romania), utilizing on-site measurements software simulation techniques. The develop method evaluating integrative strategies mitigate traffic wildlife an park, without addressing specific effects perception communication individual species. By calibrating field laboratory results, more reliable data set will be used identify areas where biophonic environment is impacted by anthropogenic noise.
