Urban carbon emissions significantly contribute to climate change, exacerbating environmental issues such as global warming. Understanding metabolism is vital for identifying key emission sources and implementing targeted mitigation strategies. This study presents an innovative analysis framework that integrates ecological network (ENA) with land use dynamics, enriching the theoretical system providing policy recommendations sustainable urban development. We investigated in Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Agglomeration (BTHUA) from 2000 2020 using statistical data. The ENA method quantified relationships between compartments. Our findings revealed industrial transportation exhibited highest density, while forest demonstrated sequestration density. Notably, negative net horizontal flow indicated changes exacerbated disorder of metabolism. increasing mutualism index suggested a reduction impacts on highlights importance spatial planning transforming provides comprehensive understanding dynamics influenced by changes. insights gained can inform effective strategies BTHUA similar agglomerations, ultimately contributing

Abstract Urban parks are essential components of urban ecosystems, providing vital ecological resources for city residents. However, the rapid expansion high-density areas has led to an unequal distribution park resources, raising growing concerns about spatial equity. To address these challenges, we employed improved Gaussian two-step floating catchment area (2SFCA) method, considering quality variations and integrating sentiment scores from reviews calculate a comprehensive accessibility index, accounting both supply demand dynamics among users. The results demonstrate significance management, as users prioritise convenience cleanliness public facilities. Recreational significantly influences equity, with near Beijing’s initial greenbelt zone showing (IA). Nonetheless, our analysis exposes disparities in resource allocation within Chaoyang District, indicating relative inequity. Spatial mismatches, especially northwest southeast, evident. enhance layout recommend strategies like identifying repurposing underused spaces, establishing pocket micro-green areas, improving recreational It is crucial needs vulnerable groups such older residents children. These insights stress importance ensuring fair access well-being all

Epidemics are dangerous and difficult to prevent control, especially in urban areas. Clarifying the correlation between COVID-19 Outbreak Frequency spatial environment may help improve cities’ ability respond such public health emergencies. In this study, we firstly analyzed distribution characteristics of by correlating geographic locations epidemic-affected neighborhoods city Beijing with time point onset. Secondly, created a geographically weighted regression model combining external environmental elements city. Thirdly, different grades study area were classified according clustering analysis results. Finally, internal was investigated using binomial logistic model. The yielded following (i) Epidemic outbreak frequency evidently correlated environment, among building density, volume ratio, density commercial facilities, service transportation facilities positively Frequency, while water greenery coverage negatively it. (ii) differed. House price number households low-end neighborhoods, mid-end neighborhoods. order achieve justice, society should strive address inequality phenomena income gaps residential differentiation, promote fair environments.

Quantitative data enironmental conditions, were obtained for ?wi?tokrzyskie Voivodeship (province) from Statistics Poland years 2014, 2020, 2021, 2022. is based a literature review subject statistical analysis, while CRITIC-TOPSIS method was applied generate synthetic measures. results show changes ecological status has weakened during researched period. This may be due decline public response financial crises, COVID-19 pandemic or insufficient implementation projects. Maintenance (cleaning, greening, waste management) greatest municipality. Urban areas globally are increasingly challenged by climate change, rapid urbanization, and environmental degradation, necessitating innovative solutions for sustainable development. Blue–Green Infrastructures (BGIs) have emerged as a promising approach, integrating water management systems with natural vegetative elements to create resilient urban landscapes. By fostering synergy between ecosystems built environments, BGIs offer multifunctional benefits including flood mitigation, heat reduction, biodiversity enhancement. This article examines the role of in boosting resilience, highlighting several exemplary projects Spain qualitative quantitative way that demonstrate its potential transform into adaptive spaces.

Although the immediate impact of COVID-19 pandemic has been alleviated, its long-term effects continue to shape global health and public safety. Policymakers should prepare for potential future crises direct urban planning toward more sustainable outcomes. While numerous studies have examined factors influencing risk COVID-19, few investigated spatial spillover form green space. In this study, we quantified using landscape pattern indices, represented population mobility with Baidu Migration Scale Index, assessed role key on epidemic through STIRPAT Durbin models. Our findings reveal that migration from Wuhan had a significant local spread COVID-19. These not only intensified transmission, but also triggered positive effects, spreading virus neighboring regions. We found space connectivity (pc5) plays crucial in reducing virus, both locally surrounding areas. High helps mitigate disease transmission during an epidemic. contrast, configuration unipolarity areas (pc1) contributed increased cities. Ultimately, balancing building density distribution is essential enhancing resilience. This research provides new insights into us understand gray–green forms
