In this study we analysed how topography, vegetation density and selected park attributes influence features such as coherence, complexity, legibility, mystery, sense of safety preference in the context natural-looking urban parks. We also examined relationships with other landscape that may affect preference. employed a withinsubjects design where participants evaluated set 108 eye-level computer generated photorealistic visualisations environments. Our sample comprised 200 (118 females 82 males). findings suggest flat terrain is perceived safer. Dense increases while sparse was conducted for legibility. The presence plants bloom architecture, furniture were most preferred landscapes studied. Park plenty light visible sky safer, less thought to be more mysterious. strongest predictors Kaplan model complexity coherence. greater coherence readability, preferred. Urban parks are vital public spaces that provide cultural ecosystem services (CESs) enhance the well-being of city dwellers. As demand for CESs has greatly increased, imbalance between CES supply and become prominent. Accurately identifying whether meets supports urban park planning management. However, supply–demand gap lies not only in quantitative resource deficits, but also spatial mismatch demand. At present, scientific quantification methods comprehensively consider both relationships remain inadequate. To fill this gap, we propose an integrated framework combines analysis to identify CESs, using Shanghai as study area. The consists three major steps: (1) mapping parks; (2) relationship by combining through bivariate with statistics; (3) categorizing into four scenarios based on quantity balance matching, corresponding proposals. results show 136 sub-districts belong space matching type, while 79 belonging imbalanced quantities including 41 mismatching type. Notably, 15 face a situation where is less than Our findings solid basis key areas conflict prioritizing targeted interventions. This approach improves efficiency provision, addresses growing high-quality rapidly urbanizing regions.

This study enhances our understanding of urban park accessibility and social equity through a novel methodological framework in Chengdu, China. By improving the three-step floating catchment area (3SFCA) method with space syntax metrics multi-modal transportation analysis, we identify spatial disparities green access. Our methodology, validated Baidu heat map data, demonstrates improved accuracy estimating population demand patterns. Key findings include: (1) The enhanced 3SFCA outperforms traditional approaches predicting accessibility, providing reliable evidence for planning; (2) significant exist across modes, particularly affecting non-motorized transport users; (3) newly developed areas show greater access inequities than established neighborhoods; (4) important mismatches between vulnerable distributions. research provides targeted recommendations reducing all residents, benefiting children elderly populations rapidly urbanizing contexts.

With the development of economy and improvements in living standards, public demand for sports activities has continued to increase. However, supply–demand relationship urban venues remains unbalanced many cities. Existing theoretical research on spatial allocation predominantly focuses macro-level functional configuration equitable distribution resources, lacking more rigorous quantitative evaluation frameworks evaluating allocation. This study innovatively integrates multi-source data into assessment sustainable optimization venue planning, using Xi’an as a case study. By analyzing geographic information, road network topology, OpenStreetMap (OSM), population distribution, social media Points Interest (POI), analytical tools such ArcGIS 10.8 Stata 17, appropriateness resource Xi’an’s main area is evaluated from three dimensions: accessibility, equity, activity. The results reveal allocation, imbalances activity distribution. Finally, proposes series strategies, including increasing coverage low-supply areas, adaptive reuse idle industrial buildings guided by green sustainability principles, constructing “15-min fitness circle” system, optimizing low-carbon mobility networks around venues, enhancing compatibility improving commercial operation management capabilities. These strategies aim optimize improve fairness operational efficiency service delivery while promoting development.

With the acceleration of urbanization, accessibility and equity urban green spaces have become crucial issues in planning public health. In context 15-min living circle, whether residents can conveniently reach parks within a walkable or bikeable time frame directly impacts their quality life social well-being. Traditional park evaluation methods, such as G2SFCA, effectively measure but fail to fully account for diversity travel modes impact regional disparities on equity. This study employs TB-G2SFCA method, integrating concept analyze Dianchi Lake ring area Kunming under different modes. The findings reveal significant walking cycling, particularly suburban communities distant from city center, where many areas cannot 15 min. Although improves driving transit modes, resources remain concentrated well-connected areas, leaving peripheral regions with insufficient access. Compared traditional G2SFCA approach more accurately reflects spatial differences across suggests that future should optimize resource allocation, improve transportation networks, enhance areas—especially cycling—to achieve equitable sustainable distribution spaces.
