Thermosonication (TS), also known as ultrasonic-assisted heat treatment, is gaining attention in liquid product processing due to its ability improve quality parameters and can serve an alternative thermal treatments. Seaweed is a resilient macrophytic plant thriving in intertidal zones. These are rapidly gaining attention due to their autotrophic nourishment, rapid growth, and minimal land requirement for cultivation. used various food non-food sectors, thus possessing immense potential as valuable bioresource with high commercial value. However, utilizing seaweed comes challenges at processing levels, particularly cost-effective downstream processing. Hence, this review highlights the advancement biomass together its application food, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, sectors. Undaria pinnatifida, an edible brown seaweed that is widely consumed in East Asia, has gained increasing recognition for its health benefits. Among bioactive compounds, polysaccharides have attracted significant attention due to their diverse biological activity. This review provides a comprehensive overview of recent advancements the extraction, purification, structural characterization, and bioactivity U. pinnatifida polysaccharides. We discuss state-of-the-art extraction techniques, including ultrasound-assisted, microwave-assisted, enzyme-assisted as well purification strategies such membrane separation chromatographic methods. Furthermore, we highlight potential activity, antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anticancer, gut health-promoting, anti-hyperglycemic effects, along with underlying mechanisms action. The recycling of spent lithium-ion batteries can not only reduce the potential harm caused by solid waste piles to local environment but also provide raw materials for manufacturing new batteries. Gallic acid, known for its biological activity contributing to human health, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antimutagenic properties, was the focus of this study. The solubility gallic acid experimentally measured in pure mixed solvents water, ethanol, acetic predicted using COSMO-SAC model Hansen parameter. parameter method a higher water than solvent, it maximum at 80% content, showing different results from experimental data trends. However, molar volume obtained COSMO calculations resulted tendency that matched results. revealed ethanol compared with solvent falling within range between them. Using same method, applied acid/water acid/ethanol mixtures, similar trends were observed data. In particular, mixture exhibited solubility, phenomenon well-predicted. As temperature increased, both also increased. While effectively captured trend, values slightly lower depending on types confirmed by comparing σ-profiles each compound. σ-profile closely resembled result led acid. ethanol/water could be anticipated when two significant differences their are an appropriate ratio.
