Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is a classical medicinal and edible herb as well spice, but the physicochemical biological properties of its polysaccharides have not been fully studied. In this study, were extracted using an ultrasonic-assisted method purified from fresh coriander, then coriander polysaccharide (CSP) fraction was separated agarose gel Q-Sepharose Fast Flow column. The total sugar content, protein content monosaccharides composition CSPs determined phenol–sulfuric acid method, Coomassie Brilliant Blue HPLC. structural characterization detected ultraviolet spectrophotometry FT-IR spectroscopy. DPPH ABTS free radicals used to explore their antioxidant activities, while inhibitory abilities α-amylase α-glucosidase evaluate hypoglycemic activity. After that, immunomodulatory antitumor activities investigated macrophage RAW264.7 HepG2 cells targets. results showed that contents 66.90 ± 1.44% 1.06 0.32%, respectively. mainly composed fucose, rhamnose, arabinose, galactose, glucose, galacturonic glucuronic acid, with molar ratio 1.13:15.11:9.60:25.98:1.55:44.33:2.29, may be acidic heteropolysaccharide containing pyran rings, α- β-glycosidic bonds acid. Yeast wall polysaccharides (YWPs) are a bioactive compound found in the vegetative cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, contributing to its applications food and medicine. YWPs have been extensively studied because their diverse biological activities. Although yeast spore S. cerevisiae also contains polysaccharides, activities components spores received limited attention. In this study, (YSWPs) were extracted from chs3Δ with exposed β-glucan layers via an ultrasonic-assisted enzymatic extraction (UAE) method, optimal process was determined through single-factor orthogonal experiments. The physicochemical properties YSWPs compared under identical conditions, effects on abundance intestinal microflora short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) production vitro investigated. results revealed that UAE for involves ultrasonic power 300 W, duration 60 min, enzyme concentration 1 % (w/w), hydrolysis time 4 h. total sugar content extract be 89.20 ± 0.52 %. primary monosaccharides present mannose glucose, which consistent those cell polysaccharides. Both exhibit similar physical properties, however, has smaller particle size, resulting superior water-holding oil-holding capacities. simulations colon fermentation, can increased population beneficial microorganisms human intestine while reducing number harmful microbial populations. Additionally, it effectively produced propionate butyrate. These findings suggest help maintain ecological balance promote health.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect degraded polysaccharide Acanthopanax senticosus (ASPS-1) on immunological effects and appropriate dosage broiler chicks with a view developing new feed additive. For experimental design, 180 were randomly divided into six groups, ASPS-1 low, medium high dose undegraded (ASPS) low groups blank control group. drug administered for 21 consecutive days, growth data immune organ index factors recorded 7th, 14th 21st d. Finally, intestinal flora investigated by high-throughput sequencing 16S rRNA gene correlation between main indexes analyzed, function microbial community predicted using PICRUSt2. results showed that addition could promote body weight chicks, had no significant organs, significantly promoted increase villi crypt ratio, effectively regulated levels serum antioxidant indexes. Analysis ASPS-1H proliferation Lactobacillus, Faecalibacterium, Negativibacillus, Eubacterium inhibited colonization Desulfovibrio Turicibacter, Negativibacillus associated development villi. Predictive analysis PICRUSt2 indicates functions through amino acid metabolism, global overview maps, replication repair pathways function. In summary, doses can improve immunity broilers has potential be used as

This study elucidated the mechanisms underlying immunoregulatory and gut-microbiota-modulating effects of Flammulina velutipes residue polysaccharide (FVRP) using cyclophosphamide (CTX)-induced mouse models. FVRP supplementation alleviated CTX-induced intestinal damage boosted antioxidant enzyme activity cytokine secretion. Additionally, enhanced diversity total species richness gut microbiota, promoting proliferation beneficial bacteria (e.g., Prevotellaceae), while reducing abundance CTX-derived (Lachnospiraceae Rikenellaceae). facilitates accumulation short-chain fatty acids. Untargeted metabolomic analyses cecal content revealed that treatment notably restored levels 32 endogenous metabolites altered by CTX. Based on a pseudosterility mice model, fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), filtrate (FFT), associated were demonstrated to play crucial role in immunomodulatory protective against injury. In conclusion, exhibits significant potential as an immune enhancer natural therapeutic agent for alleviating inflammatory conditions.

In this study, the different characteristics of in vitro digestion and fermentation were investigated compared with polysaccharides extracted by hot water alkali sequence from Volvariella volvacea (VWEP VAEP, respectively), as well vivo lipid-reducing effects. The results indicated that simulated saliva-gastrointestinal altered reducing sugar contents, molecular weights (from 7.398 × 104 D to 3.080 103 D, 4.110 6.080 D), chemical components, antioxidant activities VWEP respectively. However, profound distinctions preliminary structural between VAEP hardly observed during digestion. Furthermore, human gut microbiota elicited greater differences short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs)-producing microbiota-regulating properties (p < 0.05). This was evidenced VWEP's tendency enhance acetate propionate production via facilitating reproduction Prevotella Roseburia genera, while more likely increase valerate level inhibiting Subdoligranulum, Dialister, Enterobacter genera. Ultimately, lipid-lowering effects also estimated Caenorhabditis elegans, where exerted higher activity fat accumulation than Overall, these provide a better understanding digestion-fermentation saccharide preferences microbes for which are valuable functional foods promising bioactive ingredients.
