Abstract
Biomass-derived
biochar
has
gained
significant
attention
due
to
its
unique
properties
and
potential
applications
in
various
fields,
including
asphalt
pavement
engineering.
However,
there
been
no
comprehensive
review
date
that
systematically
examines
the
state-of-the-art
research
on
utilization
pavements,
identifies
key
knowledge
gaps,
provides
recommendations
for
future
directions.
This
aims
fill
this
gap
by
providing
a
novel
critical
analysis
of
sources
production
methods
biochar,
techniques
modifying
characterizing
properties,
recent
as

A
large
amount
of
solid
waste,

as
steel
slag
(SS),
is
generated
annually.
At
the

road
construction
materials
