The
scarcity
of
clean
water
has
become
a
global
environmental
problem
which
constrains
the
development
public
health,
economy,
and
sustainability.
In
recent
years,
natural
polyphenols
have
drawn
increasing
interests
as
promising
platforms
towards
diverse
remediation
composites
devices,
owing
to
their
abundant
renewable
resource
in
nature,
highly
active
surface
chemistry,
multifunctionality.
This
review
aims
summarize
most
advances
highlights
polyphenol-based
composite
materials
(e.g.,
nanofibers,
membranes,
particles,
hydrogels)
for
remediation,
by
focusing
on
structural
functional
features,
well
diversified
applications
including
membrane
filtration,
solar
distillation,
adsorption,
advanced
oxidation
processes,
disinfection.
Finally,
future
challenges
this
field
are
also
prospected.
It
is
anticipated
that
will
provide
new
opportunities
other
kinds
naturally
occurring
molecules
purification
applications.

Azo
dyes
are
synthetic
organic
used
in
the

industries.
They
pose
environmental
problems
due
to
their
toxic
persistent
nature.
