Plant communities that occur along water corridors are termed riparian vegetation. Although relatively narrow and long, zones do provide an extensive spatially linear network of connectivity between existing habitats, allowing species to move more easily in response changing microclimate conditions. Knowledge ecosystems the Himalayan Region Kashmir has not been explored, even though this region is unique comprises some most important hotspots for biodiversity. The current study characterizes vegetation community a ecosystem Zabarwan Range, where there no information on characterization. After preliminary surveys, three sites representing area were selected detailed field sampling (Community-1 at lower end stream; Community-2 middle stream, Community-3 upper stream). Data gathered using T-transect method, indicator plant identified Analysis Indicator Species (AIS). A total 71 collected, which divided into 64 genera 38 families. With nine species, Rosaceae family was largest, followed by Asteraceae with six species. Three associations, Ulmus-Parrotiopsis-Oplismenus, Salix-Rosa-Oplismenus, Celtis-Viburnum-Fragaria, basis value index. Diversity indices show significant differences types communities. Shannon also found be higher 2 3, indicating diverse. Ulmus villosa common Community-1 Community-2, while Prunus tomentosa Community-1. Rosa webbiana as Celtis australis Viburnum grandiflorum restricted Community-3. associations can employed restoring because their excellent ecological performance capacity regrowth these environments.
