enriched

suggesting

as
initial

HCH
both
cultures.
Amplicon
sequencing
targeting
16S
rRNA
genes
revealed
that
Desulfomicrobium
populations
considerably
increased
indicating
their
possible
involvement
degradation
process.
These
findings
suggest
Desulfomicrobium-like
may
have
important
role
HCH-degrading
could
useful
bioaugmentation
agents
bioremediation
HCH-contaminated
sites
