We previously observed a notable discrepancy in the distribution of HEV-3 subtypes between wastewater and clinical samples Sweden. To confirm this observation comprehensively elucidate circulation patterns across humans, animals, environmental waters Sweden, we analyzed HEV genetic diversity archived late 2016 early 2018, cases 2012 2024, all available Swedish sequences from NCBI Virus database.
