Purpose The predominance of linear economy practices has contributed to inefficiencies, poor productivity, health and safety issues cost time overruns, which have impacted the volume construction demolition waste generated in construction. Digital technologies (DTs) enable speedy transition circular (CE) overcome inefficiencies associated with production system bring about sustainability built environment. This study investigated drivers digitalisation CE construction, a focus on Nigerian industry. Design/methodology/approach A quantitative approach was adopted, structured questionnaire conveniently used gather relevant data from professionals. collected were analysed using relative importance index (RII), Kruskal–Wallis H test partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Findings RII revealed that assessed factors are important driving forces digital technologies-enabled adoption leading five optimise product recycling, conversion valuable energy, regulations legislation technology usage, laws prohibiting handling availability improved information exchange. Based SEM outputs, influencing implementation organisational drivers, economic business environmental social cultural technological government institutional drivers.
