Fitting probability distribution functions to observed data is the standard way compute future design floods, but may not accurately reflect projected pattern of extreme events related climate change. In applying latest coupled model intercomparison project (CMIP5 and CMIP6), this research investigates how likely it that precipitation changes in CMIP5 CMIP6 will affect both magnitude frequency flood analysis. GCM output from four modelling institutes CMIP5, with representative pathway concentration (RCP8.5) corresponding shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP585), were selected for historical periods, before was statistically downscaled cities by using delta, quantile mapping (QM), empirical (EQM). Widespread polyethylene terephthalate microplastics (PET MPs) have played unintended role in nitrous oxide (N2O) turnovers (i.e., production and consumption) at wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Mainstream aerobic granular sludge (AGS) systems possess potentially strong N2O-sink capability, which may be reduced by PET MPs stress through altering N2O-contributing pathways, electron transfer, microbial community structures. In this study, the effects of with two common particle sizes effluent from WWTPs (0.1 0.5 mm) on N2O turnovers, pathways capability were systematically disclosed AGS a series biochemical tests molecular biological means to achieve goal carbon neutrality. The results indicated that 0.1 mm could more significantly stimulate inhibiting denitrifying metabolism, compared control systems. Specifically, slightly increased relative abundance Nitrosomonas, reducing yields via promoting hydroxylamine (NH2OH) oxidation pathway during nitrification. In this study, we developed a rapid and effective method for enriching the culture of nitrifying bioflocs (NBF) from aquacultural brackish water. The self-designed mixotrophic mediums with single or mixed addition sodium acetate, citrate, sucrose were used to investigate enrichment process nitrification efficiency NBF in small-scale reactors. results showed that an MLVSSs 1170.4 mg L-1 2588.0 successfully enriched period less than 16 days. citrate group performed fastest time 10 days, while had highest biomass ± 384.7 L-1. situ testing was achieved group, ammonia oxidation rate 1.45 0.34 N h-1, net 2.02 0.20 specific 0.72 0.14 g-1 h-1. Metagenomic sequencing revealed Nitrosomonas (0.0~1.0%) Nitrobacter (10.1~26.5%) dominant genera AOB NOB, respectively, both which relative abundances group. This research analyzed the structure of microbial groups in sediment–water interface (SWI) and relationship between gene expression levels two typical pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli Enterococcus , nutrient using modern biological techniques. Abstract In this study, experimental reactors for cathodic nitrogen plasma electrolysis were designed by the composition of galvanic (voltaic) and electrolytic cells with wide narrow connectors filled tap water agar solutions.
