This work describes the development of an electrochemical biosensor method based on bacterial consortia to determine antioxidant capacity. The consortium used is a combination bacteria from genera Bacillus and Pseudomonas which can produce enzymes tyrosinase laccase. were immobilized surface screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) form biofilm. Biofilms selected highest current response evaluated electrochemically using cyclic voltammetry analysis techniques. Optimum biofilm conditions obtained in phosphate buffer solution pH 7, formation occurred day 7. produces analytical performance with coefficient determination (R2) 0.9924. limit detection (LOD) quantification (LOQ) values are 0.5 µM 10 µM, respectively. showed stable until 10th week. was measure capacity five extracts, results confirmed standard method, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. guava extract lowest tempuyung extract. Bladder cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide. Despite its high incidence, cystoscopy remains currently used diagnostic gold standard, although it invasive, expensive and has low sensitivity. As a result, diagnosis mostly late, as occurs following presence hematuria in urine, population screening not allowed. It would therefore be desirable to able act promptly early stage disease with aid biosensing. The use devices/tools based on genetic assessments great help this field. However, differences between populations do allow accurate analysis context screening. Current research directed towards discovery universal biomarkers present urine aim providing an approach non-invasive, easy-to-perform, rapid, test that can widely clinical practice for follow-up bladder cancer. An efficient biosensing device may have disruptive impact terms patient health management, contributing decrease mortality rate, well easing social economic burden national healthcare system. Considering advantage accessing cancer, main challenges future perspectives are critically discussed address selection suitable development very sensitive biosensor

Biosensors are analytical devices that convert biological responses into recognizable and measurable signals, allowing for qualitative quantitative determination of test samples specific target analytes. Flavonoids a group oxygen-containing heterocyclic natural products commonly found in the human diet. In this chapter, brief overview flavonoids, significance their quantification, fundamentals biosensors, including types used flavonoid discussed detail.
