Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a prevalent malignancy that affects large percentage of the global population. The conventional treatments for CRC have number limitations. Nanoparticles emerged as promising treatment method due to their ability directly target cells and regulate drug release, thereby enhancing therapeutic efficacy minimizing side effects. This compilation examines use nanoparticles delivery systems treatment. Different nanomaterials can be used administer anticancer drugs, including polymeric nanoparticles, gold liposomes, solid lipid nanoparticles. The topical route is the most appropriate for targeted delivery of drugs to skin tissues treatment local diseases; however, stratum corneum (SC), foremost layer skin, acts as a major barrier. Numerous passive and active drug techniques have been exploited overcome this barrier; these modalities are associated with several detrimental effects which restrict their clinical applicability. Alternatively, nanotechnology-aided interventions extensively investigated administration wide range therapeutics. In review, we mainly focused on biopharmaceutical significance polymeric nanoparticles (PNPs) (made from natural polymers) various diseases such psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (AD), infection, cancer, acute-to-chronic wounds, acne. encapsulation drug(s) into inner core or adsorption onto shell PNPs has shown marked improvement in physicochemical properties, avoiding premature degradation controlling release kinetics, permeation through SC, retention layers. Furthermore, functionalization PEGylation, conjugation targeting ligand, pH/thermo-responsiveness further success optimizing therapeutic efficacy diseases.
