Benzoxazines are important motif in pharmaceuticals and functional molecules.A visible-light induced photocatalytic strategy for the synthesis of difluoroethyl benzoxazines with organo-photocatalyst was developed.In present protocol, a series olefinic amides can be transferred to difluoroethylated via oxydifluoromethylation CF2HSO2Na as difluoromethylating reagent, which is easily operated good group tolerant.

Unveiling the Bifunctional Photo/Electrocatalytic Activity of In Situ Grown CdSe QDs on g-C3N4 Nanosheet Z-Scheme Heterostructures for Efficient Hydrogen Generation DOI

The successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method was used to deposit several CdSe quantum dots (QDs) on the surface of g-C3N4 nanosheets. In comparison single moiety g-C3N4, as-prepared heterostructures displayed an improved bifunctional photo- electrocatalytic activity for oxygen (OER) hydrogen evolution reactions (HER). Significantly, 30 SILAR cycles optimized QDs/g-C3N4 heterostructure exhibited high performances stabilities OER HER in alkaline conditions. catalyst also efficient photocatalytic toward H2 produced 4306 μmol gas with 23.8% apparent yield presence triethanolamine as a sacrificial agent. Photoluminescence spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, impedance spectroscopy suggest that synergy between nanosheets QDs leads higher catalytic activities, indicated by low overpotentials 147 218 mV obtain 10 mA cm–2 current density reactions, respectively. Furthermore, situ Fourier transform infrared liquid chromatography–mass high-performance chromatography were conducted determine photochemical intermediate products confirm successful oxidation TEOA capturing holes. outcome is accordance fact photogenerated electrons are transferred from conduction band (CB) valence (VB) Z-scheme manner.

With both ferrocene and air as the redox catalysts, for first time, low-cost natural ilmenite (FeTiO3) was successfully used photocatalytic bond formations. Aryl-substituted bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane (BCP-aryl) derivatives represent the most important bioisosteres of biaryl scaffolds and widely exist in numerous complex pharmaceutical molecules. The current synthetic method limitations using only tertiary radical precursors, prefunctionalized heteroarenes, toxic transition metals, expensive photocatalysts make it urgent to develop a more simple practical protocol. To confront enrich Minisci-type chemistry, herein, we disclose photocatalytic multicomponent reaction for synthesis various (halo)alkyl BCP-aryls [1.1.1]propellane, alkyl halides, unfunctionalized heteroarenes as starting materials. Diverse kinds radicals (primary, secondary, carbons) derived from chlorides, bromides, fluoroalkyl iodides are very compatible this transformation. practicability is additionally boosted by product derivatizations late-stage functionalization pharmaceutically relevant mechanistic studies demonstrate that relay mechanism initiated consecutive photoinduced electron transfer (ConPET) process operation. We anticipate methodology would act useful tool biaryl-type drug derivatives, ultimately resulting great utility discovery program.
