Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that plays critical role both peripherally and centrally in vital functions such as cognition, reward, satiety, voluntary motor movements, pleasure, motivation. Optimal dopamine bioavailability essential for normal brain functioning protection against the development of neurological diseases. Emerging evidence shows gut microbiota have significant roles maintaining adequate concentrations via intricate, bidirectional communication known microbiota-gut-brain axis. The vagus nerve, immune system, hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis, microbial metabolites serve important mediators reciprocal signaling. Furthermore, contain intrinsic enzymatic activity highly involved metabolism, facilitating synthesis well its metabolite breakdown. This review examines relationship between key genera Prevotella, Bacteroides, Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Clostridium,Enterococcus, Ruminococcus their effects on dopamine. dysbiosis subsequent impact dopamine-related pathological conditions Parkinson's disease are also discussed. Understanding modulating periphery central nervous system can help identify new therapeutic targets optimize available methods to prevent, delay, or restore dopaminergic deficits neurologic metabolic disorders.

Microorganisms can be found almost anywhere, including in and on the human body. The collection of microorganisms associated with a certain location is called microbiota, its collective genetic material referred to as microbiome. largest population body resides gastrointestinal tract; thus, it not surprising that most investigated microbiome gut On average, hosts microbes from more than 60 genera contains cells has been shown influence many aspects host health, recently brain.Several modes interaction between brain have discovered, via synthesis metabolites neurotransmitters, activation vagus nerve, immune system. A growing work implicating variety psychological processes neuropsychiatric disorders. These include mood anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders such autism spectrum disorder schizophrenia, even neurodegenerative Alzheimer's Parkinson's diseases. Moreover, probable psychotropic medications an impact microbiome. Here, overview will provided for bidirectional role age-associated cognitive decline, neurological psychiatric Furthermore, primer common microbiological bioinformatics techniques used interrogate provided. This review meant equip reader this exciting research area permeating all areas biological psychiatry research.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a long-standing inflammatory skin disease that highly prevalent worldwide. Multiple factors contribute to AD, with genetics as well the environment affecting development. Although AD shows signs of barrier defect and immunological deviation, mechanism underlying not understood, treatment often very difficult. There substantial data patients have disturbed microbial composition lack diversity in their gut compared controls, which contributes onset atopic march. It clear whether change an outcome or cause dysfunction inflammation. However, cross-talk between commensals immune system now noticed, alteration believed affect maturation innate adaptive immunity during early life. The novel concept modifying microbiome by applying moisturizers contain nonpathogenic biomass probiotic supplementation years may be preventive therapeutic option high risk groups, but currently lacks evidence. This review discusses nature flora possible mechanisms skin–gut interaction, implications correction AD.
