Regulatory
health
policies
facilitate
desired
behaviours
in
communities,
and
among
them,
smoke-free
COVID-19
restrictions
have
been
widely
implemented.
Qualitative
research
studies
explored
how
these
measures
other
environmental
influences
shape
preventive
behaviours.
The
objective
of
this
systematic
review
was
to
synthesize
previously
published
qualitative
research,
generate
across-study
themes,
propose
recommendations
for
behaviour
change
interventions.
We
used
a
comprehensive
search
strategy,
relevance
screening
confirmation,
data
extraction,
quality
assessment,
thematic
synthesis,
quality-of-evidence
assessment.
In
total,
87
relevant
were
identified.
Findings
grouped
under
six
overarching
themes
mapped
three
categories:
(i)
the
political
environment,
(ii)
sociocultural
(iii)
physical
environment.
These
findings
provide
insights
into
indicate
future
interventions
may
be
more
effective
by
considering
moral
norms,
community
policy
support,
group
identity.

The
lifestyle

people

The
strict
preventive
measures
implemented
globally
during
the
COVID-19
pandemic
affected
mental
health,
with
most
countries
reporting
a
rise
in
depression
and
suicide.
This
study
examined
factors
affecting
among
Korean
adults
based
on
quarantine
experiences
2020
identified
key
areas
for
health
support.
We
provide
a
framework
to
disentangle
the
role
of
preferences
and
beliefs
in
health
behavior,
we
apply
it
compliance
behavior
during
acute
phase
COVID-19
pandemic.Using
rich
data
on
subjective
expectations
collected
spring
2020
lockdown
UK,
estimate
simple
model
with
uncertain
costs
benefits,
which
employ
quantify
utility
trade-offs
underlying
compliance,
decompose
group
differences
plans,
compute
monetary
compensation
required
for
people
comply.We
find
that,
average,
individuals
assign
largest
disutility
passing
away
from
being
caught
transgressing,
preserving
their
mental
health.But
also
document
substantial
heterogeneity
and/or
by
vulnerability
status,
gender,
other
individual
characteristics.In
our
data,
both
matter
explaining
gender
whereas
status
are
mainly
driven
preferences.We
investigate
relationship
between
own
others'
compliance.When
others
fail
comply
trust
breaks
down,
respond
heterogeneously
depending
circumstances
characteristics.When
around
them
less,
those
higher
risk
tolerance
without
prior
experience
plan
less
themselves,
while
vulnerables
more.When
high-level
public
figure
breaches
rules,
supporters
opposing
political
party
less.These
findings
emphasize
need
policies
account
heterogenous
beliefs,
preferences,
responses
citizens'
behaviors.
Objective:
Physical
distancing
is
an
effective
preventative
measure
during
respiratory
infectious
disease
outbreaks.
Prior
studies
on
behaviours
have
largely
ignored
context
characteristics
(physical,
social)
and
time.
We
investigated
patterns
in
physical
over
time
across
situations,
as
well
sociodemographic
variation
herein.
Methods:
employed
data
from
five
rounds
of
a
cohort
study
conducted
throughout
the
pandemic
by
Dutch
public
health
institute
(RIVM;
N≈50.000
per
round).
Latent
Class
Analyses
(LCAs)
to
investigate
range
followed
regression
models
associations
between
behaviour
characteristics.
Results:
Participants
differed
their
general
tendency
adhere
guidelines
but
there
were
also
substantial
differences
particularly
at
work,
with
friends
family
outdoors.
Distancing
work
was
strongly
associated
environment
Younger
age
groups
reported
less
behaviour,
close
relations
(friends
or
family)
work.
In
periods
when
situation
most
severe,
people
adhered
more
age-differences
pronounced
these
periods.
Conclusion:
social
matters
for
distancing,
highlighting
importance
developing
strategies
preparedness
that
improve
opportunities
(e.g.,
reducing
crowding,
1-way
traffic)
accommodate
young
safely
meet
even
times
high
severity
lockdowns.
