Abstract Homeostats are important to control homeostatic conditions. Here, we have analyzed the theoretical basis of their dynamic properties by bringing K homeostat out steady state (i) an electrical stimulus, (ii) external imbalance in + or H gradient (iii) a readjustment transporter activities. The reactions such changes can be divided into short-term response (tens milliseconds), where membrane voltage changed along with concentrations ions that not very abundant cytosol (H and Ca 2+ ), long-term (minutes longer) caused slow concentrations. mechanistic insights its dynamics limited but generalized, providing new perspective on electrical, chemical, hydraulic, pH signaling plants. results presented here also provide background for optogenetic experiments

The challenge of salinity stress significantly impacts global rice production, especially in coastal and arid regions where the salinization agricultural soils is on rise. Summary Extracellular auxin maxima and minima are important to control plant developmental programs. Auxin gradients provided by the concerted action of proteins from three major plasma membrane (PM) transporter classes AUX1/LAX, PIN ATP‐BINDING CASSETTE subfamily B (ABCB) transporters. But neither genetic nor biochemical modeling approaches have been able reliably assign individual roles interplay these types. Based on thermodynamic properties transporters, we show here mathematical computational simulations that different types allows adjustment specific transmembrane gradients. The dynamic flexibility ‘auxin homeostat’ comes at cost an energy‐consuming cycling’ across membrane. An unexpected finding was potential functional ABCB‐PIN synchronization appears allow optimization trade‐off between speed PM gradient one hand ATP consumption disturbance general anion homeostasis other. In this study, the physical, chemical, structural, and antioxidant characteristics of selenium (Se)-enriched sweet potato leaves (SSPL) powder produced through shear breaking superfine grinding were examined. The SSPL had a brighter color, smaller particle size, spherical shape. showed improved dispersibility solubility but reduced liquidity. Superfine destroyed crystalline area decreased thermal stability, while Se application did not significantly change ordered structure. Correlation analysis that could improve crude fiber, lipid, total flavonoids, polyphenol, enhance activities compared to breaking. enrichment can content protein DPPH• scavenging activity reducing power. flavor characteristic was altered with different crushing methods concentrations. serve as potential resource for new solid beverage.
