Panel surveys and phone-based data collection are essential tools for survey research often used together due to the practical advantages of conducting repeated interviews over phone. These particularly critical in dynamic or high-risk settings, as highlighted by researchers' responses COVID-19 crisis. However, maintaining low attrition is a major problem with panel surveys. Current solutions focus on statistical fixes address ex post but overlook preferable solution: minimizing first place. Abstract How do populations facing external aggression view the costs and benefits of self‐defense? In Western countries, war support has been shown to follow cost–benefit calculations, resembling moral principle proportionality. Introduction An ample scholarly literature on voluntary migration has shown that is a highly selective process, resulting in migrant populations often differ significantly from their respective population of origin terms socio-demographic characteristics.
