In recent decades, Sweden has become an increasingly diverse society by origin, but one in which residential segregation migrant background also increased. This study examines how different aspects of are associated with all-cause mortality among native-born and populations. Using Swedish population-based registers, this longitudinal open cohort assessed associations between four local level indices adult residents Sweden's three largest metropolitan areas (Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö) 2004 2016. Multilevel Poisson regression models, adjusted for individual-level sociodemographic socioeconomic factors as well area-level conditions, were used to estimate these mortality. Moderate decreased risks observed migrants higher levels density, isolation, exposure fully models. However, isolation effects could not be distinguished due a high degree correlation the measures. models gradients largely unobserved individuals relation segregation. The evenness dimension showed limited relevance risk both groups. provides evidence that density is lower migrants, suggesting proportions may offer health benefits migrants. These findings highlight importance contexts shaping outcomes.
