A study was carried out to assess the ecological aspects of Balla beel ecosystem in Moulavibazar district and affectivity ongoing biodiversity restoration program from July 2011 June 2012. Seventy-four fish species belonging 21 families were identified during period. About nine types fishing methods one type aggregating device surveyed beel. Increasing pressure illegal current jal (gill net), ber (seine net) FAD (Fish Aggregating Device) detected as reduction almost all species. 24 aquatic weeds found beel, among them both emergent spreading 29%, followed by floating 21%, 13% rooted plants with leaves 8% submerged. The dissolved oxygen content 5.22±1.60 mg/l inside 5.70±1.38 outside sanctuary be congenial for life. pH water slightly acidic moderately alkaline (7.0±0.68 6.88±0.43 sanctuary). Lower values alkalinity hardness indicating less nutrient enriched. contribution phytoplankton (79%) larger than zooplankton (21%). diversity dominated three group Chlorophyceae, Myxophyceae Bacillariophyceae.Asian J. Abstract The aquaculture industry requires good water quality for its successful operation but produces wastes that can cause environmental deterioration and pose high risks to the sector. Adequate waste treatment recycling are necessary make a sustainable profitable contribute circular economy. Polluted sources, excess feeding, overstocking, use of antibiotics/chemicals harmful algal blooms major causes low production in systems. Discharges untreated would have serious impacts on receiving bodies, eventually itself. Possible solutions include technological innovations environmentally friendly systems, efficient processes management improved legislation governance. Environmentally feasible technologies such as system, integrated multi-trophic aquaponics including features viable options schemes. Best practices integrating advanced technologies, supported by automation sensors, modeling artificial intelligence-internet things environment, stable value chain. In general, low-cost impact reduction through governance crucial achieving sustainability natural management.

The study deals with the assessment of water quality parameters including pH, DO, BOD, temperature, TDS, EC, transparency, hardness, and alkalinity Turag River in Tongi, Gazipur, Bangladesh. physicochemical were investigated for 3 points through experimental methods. river was black color odor bad which indicate that is polluted dangerous aquatic ecosystem human health. temperature within an average value 28.39oC indicates standard (20 to 30oC) medium. pH 6.83, limits (6.5 8.0) organisms. values DO range 0.6 3.9 ppm 2.25 indicating low from level (4.0 6.0 domestic 5.0 fish culture). BOD 1.15 lower condition compared (6.0 culture 10.0 irrigation). TDS 340.86 condition. EC ranged 35 to150 ?S/cm 56.30 than value. transparency 28.39 cm. hardness 106.79 near level. 237.66 very limit (2000 From this investigation, it recommended beyond acceptable limit. So, effective measures should be taken reduce pollution mitigate existing environmental problems River.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jesnr.v7i1.22140 J. Environ. ABSTRACT Aquaculture is a key sector for global food security, but its sustainability and productivity remain constantly questioned. Using 2–8 carbon chain carboxylates (2–8 CCs) has proven to be promising beneficial strategy various fields, including aquaculture. Within the CCs, short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs) have received significantly more attention from researchers than relatively less‐explored medium‐chain (MCFAs). Applying these compounds in aquaculture improved growth performance, feed efficiency, immune responses, intestinal health, antioxidant capacity, water quality, thus promoting organisms' sustainability. Furthermore, CCs offer significant environmental benefits by reducing reliance on antibiotics healthier gut microbiota, thereby mitigating some ecological impacts of They also contribute waste management practices developing circular economy within systems. This review comprehensively examines current understanding CCs' effects aquaculture, discussing their roles, impacts, benefits, challenges, future research directions. The findings underscore potential enhance systems, offering hopeful outlook field.

This research addresses the pressing need for sustainable practices in aquaculture, which faces challenges, like environmental degradation. The study aims to evaluate effectiveness of an intelligent aquaculture system (IAS) improving key performance indicators shrimp farming. Methodologically, it focuses on a specific farm divided into 10 breeding zones, with number 3 area selected experimentation. Data parameters and metrics were collected comparative analysis against traditional practices. Results showed significant improvements: IAS achieved feed conversion rate 90.22% growth 50 g/week, outperforming methods. Additionally, exhibited lower disease incidence mortality rates, indicating enhanced safety. concludes that IASs can substantially improve operational efficiency sustainability, offering valuable insights future
