convergent
evolution

Corrinoids
are
cobalt‐containing
tetrapyrroles.

that
function
as
cofactors
coenzymes
for
methyl
transfer,
radical‐dependent
redox
reactions.
Though
the
most
complex
in
nature,
they
essential
acetyl‐CoA
pathway,
thought
to
be
ancient
CO
2
‐fixation
