Abstract
A
series
of
3d–4f
heterometallic
complexes,
namely
[Ln
2
Co
(2,3‐DCB)
10
(phen)
]
[Ln=Nd
(
1
),
Sm
Eu
3
Gd
4
Tb
5
Dy
6
Er
7
)],
were
obtained
through
the
self‐assembly
reactions
Ln(NO
)
⋅
n
H
O,
Co(NO
6H
2,3‐dichlorobenzoic
acid
(2,3‐HDCB),
NaOH
and
1,10‐phenanthroline
under
solvothermal
conditions.
Their
crystal
structures
determined
by
single‐crystal
X‐ray
diffraction.
They
also
characterized
elemental
analysis,
FT‐IR,
powder
diffraction
(PXRD)
thermogravimetric
analysis
(TGA)
differential
thermoanalysis
(DTA).
These
seven
complexes
have
same
molecular
formula
but
different
structures.
Complexes
–
,
as
well
are
crystallographically
isomorphous,
respectively.
all
exhibit
zero‐dimensional
(0D)
linear
tetranuclear
cluster
0D
clusters
can
be
further
connected
into
a
two‐dimensional
(2D)
supramolecular
network
via
extensive
intermolecular
π–π
interactions
between
2,3‐DCB
phen.
The
photoluminescent
properties
magnetic
investigated.
Complex
shows
slow
relaxation
behavior.

Donor-acceptor
(D-A)
hybrid
frameworks
with
visual
X-ray
photochromism
at
room
temperature
are
fascinating
because
of
their
promising
applications
as
detectors.
Herein,
a
3-fold
interpenetrated
D-A
framework,
[Eu(bcbp)1.5(DMF)(H2O)2][Co(CN)6]·4H2O·CH3OH
(1),
has
been
obtained
by
incorporating
electron-rich
Co(CN)63-
into
the
electron-deficient
europium
viologen
which
interestingly
exhibits
ultraviolet
and
low-power
dual
remarkable
color
change
from
brown
to
green.
Experimental
theoretical
studies
revealed
that
photochromic
behavior
1
could
be
attributed
its
structural
feature
increasing
extent
photoinduced
electron
transfer
thus
photogenerated
radical
species
upon
irradiation.
Meanwhile,
due
introduction
emissive
lanthanide
cations
in
system,
photomodulated
luminescence
properties.

tetrahedral

attributed

characteristics

anions.

self-assembly
strategy
presented
herein
not
only
offers
facile
approach
regulate
coordination
mode
such
extent
obtain
diverse
species
also
provides
understanding
how
anions
tune
coordination-driven
self-assemblies
well
subsequent
luminescence
properties.
