Photocatalytic degradation technology has received much attention from researchers in the last few decades, due to its easy and cost-effective nature. Polluted water has become a concern for the scientific community as it causes many severe threats to living beings. Detection or removal of contaminants present in wastewater and attaining purity that can be used various purposes are primary responsibility. Different treatment methods have already been purification sewage. There is need low-cost, highly selective, reusable materials efficiently remove pollutants purify contaminated water. In this regard, MOFs shown significant potential applications such supercapacitors, drug delivery, gas storage, pollutant adsorption, etc. The outstanding structural diversity, substantial surface areas, adjustable pore sizes make them superior candidates treatment. This Review provides an overview interaction science engineering (kinetic thermodynamic aspects with interactions) underpinning purification.
