An anionic 2-fold interpenetrated 3D framework, {(pbisoixH2)2[Zn2(μ4-TDBAT)2]·S}n (ESOGU-2), referred Eskisehir Osmangazi University (TDBAT: 5,5′-((thiophene-2,5-dicarbonyl)bis(azanediyl))diisophthalate, pbisoixH2: protonated 1,4-bis(2-isopropylimidazol-1ylmethyl)benzene) was prepared and characterized by diverse techniques. X-ray result demonstrated that the framework formed Zn(II) ions TDBAT4– its charge balance kept pbisoixH2. Due to porous structure of ESOGU-2 stability in water with different pH ranges, CO2 dye adsorption studies were performed. The results displayed possessed a high Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area (1112.77 m2 g–1) despite interpenetration selective (19.02%) over N2 (0.342%) at 100 kPa 273 K due dipole–quadrupole interactions. Furthermore, removed cationic methyl violet from an aqueous solution, while orange not adsorbed framework. In addition, turn-on turn-off luminescence behaviors depending on amount H+ OH– solution. showed emission intensity range 2.5–4.75 but weak after = 6.

Abstract Three Zn(II)-coordination polymers, namely, {[Zn 2 (µ 4 -L)(µ-obix) ]·4DMF} n ( 1 ), -L)(µ-mbix) ]·6H O} ) and -L)(µ-pbix) ]·5H 3 (L 4− : 5,5’-(terephthaloylbis(azanediyl))diisophthalate obix (y = 2), mbix 3), pbix 4): 1,y-bis((1 H -imidazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene) were prepared with a tetracarboxylic acid flexible isomeric bis(imidazole) linkers characterized. The compounds displayed structural diversity depending on the rotation of imidazole rings around –CH - groups ligands. Compounds 1–3 showed 2-fold interpenetrated 3D framework, 2D structure respectively. high emissions in solid-state solutions. Luminescence experiments that sensitive detection towards Fe 3+ ions limits 2.31 ppm, 5.17 ppm 2.61 Moreover, could selectively detect over other interfering metal via luminescence quenching. mechanism be ascribed to competitive light absorption between compounds.

Two isostructural cobalt(II) and zinc(II) 1D-linear coordination polymers of 2-isonicotinoyl-N-tosylhydrazinecarboxamide (H3itca) composed assembled anionic cationic parts in their respective chain were characterized. Their utility as adsorbent was investigated.
