ABSTRACT Cocrystals contain two components in their crystalline structures. This article describes the detonation experiments on cocrystals and mixtures of fuel oxidizers. Five pairs fuels oxidizers were selected as target cocrystals: 1,2,4‐triazole (TA)/sodium perchlorate (SP), 3‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazole (3ATA)/SP, 4‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazole (4ATA)/SP, glycine (Gly)/ ammonium nitrate (AN), 4ATA/AN. All showed higher propagation velocities ( V p ) than those corresponding mixtures. Especially, 3ATA/SP 4ATA/SP exhibited steady‐state with average 4.62 4.76 km/s, respectively, whereas 3ATA+SP 4ATA+SP gradually decreased. High‐speed photography supported results for 3ATA+SP. The measured accounted 89.3% 84.6%, calculated respective mixtures, indicating that was nonideal. led to construction a hypothesis about hot‐spot growth due difference manner particle contact. The design, synthesis, calculated performances, and physical properties of two cis/trans isomers binitroaminofurazan linked by a 1,2,4,5-tetrazine moiety are described. By modifying the conditions, crystal trans-5 cocrystal cis/trans-5 were successfully obtained.
