In this experiment, the excellent coordination ability of sulfur-containing ligands was utilized. Diphenylacetyl disulfide and 3,3′-diaminodiphenyl sulfone were selected as ligands, Cu(NO3)2·3H2O, Ni(NO3)2·6H2O ZnCl2 reacted under one-pot conditions to synthesize three mononuclear complexes: [C4H18CuO12S2](I), [C12H18N4NiO11S](II) [C24H24Cl2N4O4S2Zn](III). Complex (I) belongs orthorhombic crystal system with space group Pbca, while complexes (II) (III) belong monoclinic groups P21/n P2/n. The structure complex determined using X-ray diffraction (XRD). analyzed infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electrospray mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), thermal stability composition detected via thermogravimetry (TGA). terms application, biological activity (I)–(III) in human cancer cell lines (lung A549, liver SMMC-7721, breast MDA-MB-231, colon SW480) tested MTS method. results showed that had a good inhibitory effect on MDA-MB-231.

The use of fluorescent labels is the most common tool to visualize cells. However, internalization dye molecules often modifies cell behavior. In this paper we demonstrate that it possible transiently label cells using a 3D scaffold, hydrogel, covalently functionalized with luminescent cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes. unique feature our design complexes are emissive only when they interact membrane while their emission quenched in water. We exploited perform real-time and staining-free visualization imaging. Iridium hydrogels very weakly immerged culture media. When added them, iridium complexes, linked gel, lipophilic "switches on" luminescence enabling clear dynamic, proliferation. The idea of coordinating biologically active ligand systems to metal centers exploit their synergistic effects has gained momentum. Chloride is the most abundant anion in cells and plays many critical roles maintaining cellular homeostasis. However, current chloride indicators are rare with inherent sensitivity their emission properties, such as vulnerability to pH changes or short lifetimes. These limitations restrict application aqueous media imaging. In this work, we employed a transition-metal complex bearing pyridinium recognition unit for studied phosphorescence properties.
