Marine particles are key to the cycling of major elements on Earth and play an important role in balance nutrients ocean. Three main categories marine link different parts open ocean by shaping carbon distribution: (i) sinking; (ii) suspended, (iii) ascending. 15 filtration samples were collected at eight locations onboard the RV Sonne (cruise SO279 in 2020) from 6 m water depth using a fractionated stainless-steel unit. The massive production and widespread use of plastics have resulted in a growing marine plastic pollution problem. Cold seep ecosystems are maintained by microorganisms related to nitrogen carbon cycling that occur deep-sea areas, where cold hydrocarbon-rich water seeps from the ocean floor. Little is known about this ecosystem. To fill knowledge gap, we collected sediment seawater samples Haima conducted laboratory cultivation experiments, simulating situ environmental conditions. Environmental factors microbial genetics were analyzed at different stages over 2-month period. Our main conclusions as follows: (1) When microplastics (MPs) added environments, communities most closely resembled those original habitat. changes plastisphere mainly associated with culture time. (2) co-occurrence network was more fragile than environments. (3) Multiple determined community composition, whereas small number variables drove function. MPs affected methane metabolism might aggregate pathogenic species. This work provides better perspective effect on structure function seeps.
