Zoonotic diseases pose a significant global health threat, driven by factors such as globalization, climate change, urbanization, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and intensified human–animal interactions. The increasing interconnectedness of human, animal, environmental underscores the importance OH paradigm in addressing zoonotic threats globalized world. This review explores complex epidemiology diseases, challenges associated with their management, necessity for cross-sector collaboration to enhance prevention control efforts. Key public strategies, including surveillance systems, infection measures, community education programs, play crucial roles mitigating outbreaks. However, gaps governance, resource allocation, interdisciplinary cooperation hinder effective disease particularly low- middle-income countries (LMICs). To illustrate effectiveness approach, this highlights successful PREDICT project, Rwanda’s National One Health Program, EcoHealth Alliance, Rabies Elimination Program Philippines. These initiatives demonstrate how integrating efforts can early detection, improve outbreak responses, reduce burdens. Strengthening enhancing infrastructure, regulating use, investing research technological innovations are essential steps toward risks. Ultimately, coordinated, multidisciplinary approach is vital dynamic posed ensuring security an increasingly interconnected

Understanding the interaction of biotic and abiotic factors on ecosystem function is crucial for freshwater management, However, influence nutrient enrichment, fungicide presence, detritivore identity leaf litter decomposition associated fungal communities remains poorly understood. We conducted a microcosm experiment to examine: 1) individual combined effects enrichment common communities; 2) how two types invertebrates (scrapers vs. shredders) these effects. After 35 days, we assessed: decomposition, dissolved organic carbon (DOC) production, activities extracellular enzymes; diversity, community structure, co-occurrence networks communities. found that both fungicides increased enzymatic activity but did not significantly impact diversity. changed structure reduced detritivore-mediated DOC while had opposite effect. In combination, mitigated negative network stability decomposition. selectively influenced taxa, resulting in distinct patterns under different stressors. The and/or also depended identity. This research underscores pivotal role interplay shaping modulating particularly multiple stressors settings, its implications effective management biodiversity conservation.

Revealing taxonomic, functional, and phylogenetic dimensions of biodiversity is critical for the effective conservation management aquatic organisms in freshwater ecosystems subjected to multiple threats. Fish patterns river exhibit complex spatiotemporal variation influenced by hydrological connectivity dispersal ability species within network. This study utilized eDNA metabarcoding investigate fish communities three subtropical mountain rivers, aiming uncover community structure dynamics multidimensional across varying positions The indices at confluence were significantly greater than those mainstream dry season, whereas diversity tributaries during wet season was that mainstream. likely reflected unique spatial configuration confluences seasonal results this highlighted important role networks fact they need be prioritized conserve riverine diversity.
